Radiology (xrays)

Radiographs provide a wealth of information!  In conjunction with the clinical examination findings, veterinarians commonly use them to help evaluate several different organ systems within the body.  These systems include:

  1. musculoskeletal (bones and joints)

  2. cardiovascular (heart)

  3. pulmonary (lungs)

  4. gastrointestinal (stomach, intestines, liver, spleen)

  5. urinary (kidneys, ureters, bladder, urethra)

  6. reproductive (uterus, prostate)

At the Stirling Veterinary Services, we are able to perform and interpret radiographic studies while you wait.  In select cases that require sedation however, we may ask that you leave your pet with us for a short period.

For more advance cases, we are also pleased to offer a telemedicine service whereby the radiographic images are sent to and read by a board certified radiologist.
