Marianneke Bush

Registered Veterinary Technician

Mare is a qualified Registered Veterinary Technician who has worked for Dr. Craig since 1986.

She is a strong asset to the practice not only in her qualification and experience but also in her personal attributes. 

As a veterinary technician she is qualified to provide patient care, perform diagnostic testing, monitor anesthetics, and care for post surgical patients.

Mare perfects the position with her kind heart, gentle manner and  professionalism. 

She is an outdoor enthusiast enjoying activities such as  kayaking, hiking, canoeing, swimming and backpacking.  She is also well cultured having travelled to many places around the world.

When not busy working or enjoying nature she likes to relax with her 2 cats, 3 shelties and husband!

Betty Koomans

Housekeeping

Betty has worked for Stirling Veterinary Services since 1983.   She can be found milling around the clinic in the wee hours of the night or at the crack of dawn.  As a jack of all trades, she is an great asset. 

In her spare time she shares herself between family, friends and the greater community.  She divides herself between volunteering as a teachers assistant at a local elementary school, baking for friends in need and spending time with her 12 grandchildren.

 

Evelyn Craig

Office Manager

Evelyn is one of Stirling’s most loyal and long term employee’s.  Her experience and familiarity with Stirling Veterinary Services creates stability for clients and staff alike.  Evelyn has a strong, calm, practical manner that creates a warm family feel to the practice. 

Aside from bookkeeping and finances, you’ll often find her answering client concerns or assisting veterinary staff were needed.

Evelyn also enjoys travelling and spending time with her family.  She is known for her talent in traditional country crafts and decor.

 
Loralee Craig
- McInroy

Registered Dental Hygienists

Loralee graduated from Regency Dental Hygiene Academy in 2008 and is currently working as a dental hygienist in Madoc.

As one of the three Craig children, Loralee is very familiar with Stirling Veterinary Services.

Professionally, Loralee started preforming dental cleanings under veterinary supervision  in 2010 when she began to work as a paid employee rather than a family volunteer.  Her qualifications and experience allow us to provide professional and efficient dental care to our patients.

Loralee is a proud pet owner with her two bouncy boxers and one cat.

She is a very active sports enthusiast.  She enjoys team sports including soccer and social events such as planned running events

 

Megan

Veterinary Assistant

Megan joined our practice in 2009 as a high school co-op student.  She graduated from Quinte Secondary School in Belleville, Ontario in 2010 and is currently attending the University of Guelph where she is working towards a BSc.  Eventually Megan hopes to attend the Ontario Veterinary College to become a Veterinarian.   We are fortunate to have her compassionate and kind manner assisting in patient care. 

When not working or studying, Megan enjoys reading, photography and outdoor activities such as riding her ATV.

She also has lots of animals to keep her busy and help hone her veterinary skills including 3 German Shepherds and 2 cats!

Maria Koomans

Receptionist

Maria has worked in the veterinary profession since 1973 As an important member of the Stirling Veterinary team, her primary role is receptionist. 

With a patient, quiet manner, Maria will direct client concerns effectively and efficiently.  With a smile, she is one of the first people to greet you upon arrival at the clinic.

On the home front, Maria is kept busy with her 5 cats, 2 dogs, 1 horse and donkey.  She is also very supportive of her 2 daughter, 2 sons and their extended families.

When a moment allows, Maria enjoys gardening, stained glass, and cooking.

 
Joslin Bartlett

Receptionist/Veterinary Assistant

Joslin is the most recent addition to our veterinary team. In August 2011 Joslin started at Stirling Veterinary Services with the primary role of veterinary and client assistant. She is well suited to the position since she enjoys interacting with people and animals.

Joslin graduated from St.Lawrence College as a Veterinary Assistant in June 2011.

Her interests outside of work include photography, walking and ATV trail rides. Joslin recently adopted a new kitten from one of our stray litters. The new kittens name is Class, which suits her well.
